Set up card payments

Open Settings, tap Card payments, and tap Set up card payments. You'll fill in Stripe's own form — it takes about five minutes and you'll need your ABN and bank details.

The account is yours, not ours. Money from a card goes from Stripe straight into your bank.

Only the business owner can do this. Anyone working with you sees a note saying so instead of the setup screen.

After you finish Stripe's form

Stripe checks your details, which can take a bit. The screen keeps checking and updates itself — you don't need to do anything. If Stripe wants something more, the screen lists exactly what. Once it says you're taking card payments, card options appear at checkout and on the invoices you send.

What it costs

The fee is Stripe's, not ours — about 1.7% + 30c on an Australian card, so roughly $2.34 on a $120 groom, taken out of your payout. Clippers Base adds nothing on top and never touches the money.

Turning it off again

The "On invoices" switch stops Pay now appearing on invoices you send, so they go out with PayID only. Your Stripe account stays connected, and you can switch it back on whenever.
