Texts that go out on their own

Every booking sends a heads-up, then a confirm-by-tap ask, then a reminder the day before. Edit the wording under SMS, then Templates.

Make a booking and the texts look after themselves. Which one goes first depends on how far ahead the visit is.

  1. 1

Two or more days out — "Booking Accepted (FYI)" goes straight away. A friendly heads-up, no link.

  2. 2

Two days before the visit — the "Confirmation Request" goes out, with a link the client taps to confirm.

  3. 3

The day before — the "Reminder" goes out at the time you pick.

Book something closer than that, including later today, and the Confirmation Request goes out immediately instead. If a confirmation went out close to the visit, the day-before reminder is skipped so nobody gets texted twice.

There are matching texts for rescheduling and cancelling, and one summary text when you set up a repeat booking.

The two you send yourself

Open the booking and tap Send message for On the way or Running late.

Changing the wording

SMS → Templates

Tap any template to open it. You get an Enable Template switch, the message body, chips that drop in the client's first name or the pet's name, a live preview, and a running character and segment count.

On the Confirmation Request you can change how many days ahead it goes. The reminder is always the day before.
